Rehearsals for Little Shop of Horrors kicked off with a bang this weekend! The cast of 63 students from Year 9 to Year 13 came together with the show band of 11 students and ex-students for two full days of rehearsals in the Performing Arts Centre.
Under the direction of Ms Rita Stone, along with vocal coach Ms Toni Randle, choreographer Miss Sophie Kettley and guest Musical Director Mr Logan Hunt, the company got to know each other, sang, danced and made music to mark the start of an amazing journey toward a full production.
Lead students Rose Elijaš (Y12), Isaac Yeh (Y13), Joanna Navero-Custodio (Y11), Jed O’Brien (Y13) and Leila O’Loughlin (Y12) have been working hard all summer to learn lines and songs since gaining their roles at the end of last year. Supporting stars Maddie Tomilap (Y12), Lora Praveen Ghattu (Y13), Ava Phipps (Y12), Eliza Gleeson (Y10), Lola Kelleher (Y12) and Clarissa Paulus (Y12) are proving a force to be reckoned with already with their superb singing talents as the “Ronettes”.
