Avondale College's Senior Prizegiving took place on Tuesday 29 October, celebrating the achievements over 175 students who excelled in their academic endeavours this year.
This included those who have come top in their academic subjects this year, and also those who received special awards and trophies in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the life of the school.
Students who have been awarded scholarships from tertiary institutions were also recognised. Avondale College students have received over $211,000 in scholarships this year, as well as over $100,000 towards accommodation expenses.
This year’s awards were presented by two distinguished guests: MP Carmel Sepuloni and Dr Claire Achmad, the Children’s Commissioner and an Avondale alumna.
Valedictory speeches were delivered by Head Prefects Zoheb Khan and Allegra D'Souza.
