Students and staff are enjoying the celebration of Samoan Language week, with a number of events planned. On Monday, Miller Fa’amausili was invited to present a speech to the Ministry of Education Auckland office to launch their celebration of the week and Samoan Language students hosted ula lei making for students who wanted to learn this skill. On Tuesday, students made a number of Samoan dishes, giving away delicious cups of Koko Alaisa at lunch time. Throughout the rest of the week there are dance performances, a game of Lape on the field, and finally, a concert to finish off the week.
